1. Venue

The course will take place at Zhou Long Quan Building, Xiamen University Xiang’an Campus, approximately 30 minutes from downtown Xiamen.
Xiamen is located on the southeast coast of China, which is well known as the “Garden on the Sea” with its unique culture and beautiful scenery, excellent weather all year round. Xiamen is a port city and a transportation hub, easily accessible by air, sea or land. The Gaoqi International Airport is on the north-eastern tip of the island, 27 km from Xiamen University Xiang’an Campus (about 40 minutes driving).

Time: 13:00-18:30, May 11, 2018 Friday
Venue: Ling Bo Wan Hotel lobby
Registration package: pick up your name tag, brochure and meal voucher; check your registration fee payment status or submit reimbursement documents.
Icebreaker starts at 18:40 May 11, Sunset City (café，尚赛西堤), Student Street by campus East Gate, only 3 minutes walking distance from Ling Bo Wan Hotel. Participants please meet at the hotel lobby at 18:30. A volunteer will guide you to the café.
If you arrive later than the registration time, please ask the hotel reception to get your package and show you the direction to icebreaker.

Accommodation has been arranged at the Ling Bo Wan Hotel (Xiang’an Campus East Gate) for 8 nights from May 11 to May 18. The hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance to the course venue. You will not need to contact the hotel, a reservation will be made under your name (a standard double room for two participants to share). The room fare is covered in your registration fee.
If you need to stay for extra days 0r request a single room, please send request to Vera Shi and pay extra cost (84 CNY per night for an individual room, 168 CNY per room for extra night) to the hotel. Please note that it needs to be paid by cash (in CNY) or with a China Union Card, the hotel does not accept Visa cards.
Wi-Fi is available in the hotel lobby and in the rooms.

Breakfast: 6:30-8:30 Student Canteen (with meal voucher).
Lunches: boxed lunch will be provided.
Dinners: 17:30-19:00 Faculty Canteen or Student Canteen (with meal voucher).
Workshop dinner on May 13: meet at 17:00 to go to downtown and local restaurant.
Other: There are several restaurants and cafés (e.g., Sunset City尚赛西堤, Stone House石屋) in or near the student street.
If you want to explore the city, take bus No. 751 or 759 to Xiamen Island (Xiamen University, Shapowei, Zhongshan Road, Bingbei Bar Street…)
