The preliminary exploration about competitive advantage between three symbiodiniums under different conditions.

Abstract

Symbiodinium is a kind of single cell plant that is symbiotic with coral. At present, researchers have decoded the genomes of three species of the symbiodinium£¬symbiodinium.kawagutii£¬symbiodinium.freeliving and symbiodinium.minutum. These three species of symbiodinum are symbiotic with coral and may live in the same area. So we think there are competition relations between these three kinds of symbiodinium.We try to confirm under different conditions, which one of the three have the best growth advantage.We put the three symbiodiniums mixed together and cultivate these symbiodiniums under different conditions(different temperatures, different concentrations of P,different concentrations of glucose sugar,different concentrations of glycerol), detecting their ITS gene expressions by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR and describe their growth curve according to the amount of ITS gene expression.
