Here we introduce a model for assessing the coupled vulnerability and resilience across the coastal areas from multiple uses and coastal land-water-biodiversity nexus. This study improves the framework of ˇ°exposure- sensitivity-resilienceˇ± for vulnerability analysis. We then develop an evaluation framework for urban regional environmental vulnerability, resilience and early warning system of coastal urbanizing areas using spatial analysis and inform the design of the local urban planning, regional development and ICZM Plan.
