                                          | Arsenic, Hg, V, Sb and stable isotope ratios (δ15N and δ13C) were analyzed in organisms from Yellow River and Laizhou Bay to understand biomagnification and prey source of As, Hg, V and Sb. Among fish, shrimp, crab and shellfish, shellfish has the highest concentrations of As, V and Sb, and the highest concentration of Hg was observed in shrimp. Concentration of Hg, As and V in fishes from Yellow River were higher than that from Laizhou Bay, whereas the opposite tend was revealed for δ15N. Positive correlations between δ15N and Hg were observed in marine organisms. Vanadium is found significantly high in this study, which may be related to the petroleum industry around the Yellow River and Laizhou Bay.   | |
