Guangxi Province is in the south of mainland China, It has 1,595 km coastline, 129,300km2 area, wonderful beach, beautiful islands and plenty of marine resources. But it has less marine education and promotion before 2014. From 2014, Guangxi Academy of Sciences established “Guangxi Marine Education system” to increase the knowledge and attention for the public, especially for the students. This system includes four parts: Guangxi education clas s, Guangxi education website, education materials development, and education activities. According to the hard works and cooperation with others, marine education in Guangxi had a good started and more and more people started to learn about the ocean and care about the ocean. So far, Guangxi marine education has its website, more than 60 marine educator volunteers, about 20 high schools, 20 elementary schools joined in, and cooperate with many marine protection NGOs, outdoor sports clubs, companies and media.
