Zonal jets, aka striations in oceans, are prominent features in geophysical fluids. One of the striation generation mechanisms is the anisotropic inverse cascade which brings the energy from initial small-scale turbulence to the large-scale order-flow. That is, the inverse cascade is anisotropized by the meridional potential vorticity gradient, the beta effect, and the flows finally evolve into striations. Previous research results showed a single width of striation only, around the Rhines scale, at a certain latitude; it can miss out some associated but important processes. By detecting of 2D high-pass filtering method, we find there are multiple modes with differential bandwidth of striation at the same latitude. Such as in center north pacific, the first three mode bandwidths are 275km、225km、150km and 250km、200km、150km and the maximum velocities are 4cm/s、2cm/s、0.5cm/s and 2.2cm/s、1cm/s、0.5cm/s, from OFES and SODA data respectively. This result implicates that the energy exchange between differential scale striations could be one of the energy transfer pathways.
