Eutrophication (HAB) and Environmental Impact Assessment

This Summer Course series on Environmental Sciences and Ecotoxicology is jointly organized by the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science (MEL, Xiamen University) and the Center for Marine Environmental Research and Innovative Technology (MERIT), an Area of Excellence in Hong Kong. The themes of this 2-week Summer Course focus on eutrophication (HAB) and Environmental Impact Assessment. A number of renowned experts in the fields are invited to deliver interactive lectures, explain the concepts and application of ecological risk assessment for environmental management, provide current update on eutrophication and algal bloom problems, HAB toxic mechanisms and technological advancement in HAB management, and discuss case studies and practical exercises. A study tour is organized to provide additional case studies and learning opportunities for participants to apply acquired knowledge into real situation. |
