一、 资助研究领域
海洋生物地球化学、海洋同位素地球化学、海洋生态学、海洋分析化学、海洋环境毒理学、滨海湿地生态学、物理海洋学和海洋遥感以及涉及重点实验室所关注科学问题的其它相关学科。主要研究方向包括：
1. 海洋碳、氮等生源要素生物地球化学过程与机制研究；
2. 海洋有机物生物地球化学研究；
3. 微型生物在海洋生物地球化学循环过程中的作用研究；
4. 海洋浮游生物生态过程；
5. 近海污染物的输运转化过程及生态毒理效应研究；
6. 近海污染物的化学和生物监测新技术研究；
7. 全球变化过程对海岸带生态系统的环境效应研究；
8. 陆海界面动力过程与生态响应研究；
9. 海洋观测高新技术（如同位素示踪、遥感及信息技术、生物技术等）在海洋生物地球过程及生态环境效应研究中的应用
二、 岗位类别及资助额度
1. “郑重”杰出访问学者：招募国内外杰出的专家学者，支持每年来厦开展合作科研1-3个月，提供学者1次往返国际、国内机票以及生活津贴，并协助租用公寓。实验室将为访问学者提供必要的办公设备，并共享实验室仪器及其它资源。
2. 杰出访问学者：招募国内外杰出的专家学者，支持每年来厦开展合作科研1-3个月，提供学者1次往返国际、国内机票以及生活津贴，并协助租用公寓（租金自行支付）。实验室将为访问学者提供必要的办公设备，并共享实验室仪器及其它资源。
3. 高级访问学者：招募国内外优秀的专家学者，支持每年来厦开展合作科研1-3个月，提供学者1次往返国际、国内机票以及生活津贴，实验室将协助租用公寓（租金自行支付），提供必要的办公设备，并共享实验室仪器及其它资源。
4. 青年访问学者：招募国内外高校优秀的博士毕业生或青年科学家，支持每年来厦开展合作科研1-6个月。该基金可提供学者的1次往返国际、国内机票以及生活津贴，还可根据申请情况提供科研配套。实验室将协助租用公寓（租金自行支付），提供必要的办公设备，并共享实验室仪器及其它资源。此项资助将结合实验室的开放课题共同执行。
三、 申请程序
1. 实验室于每年发布《近海海洋环境科学国家重点实验室访问学者及开放基金》年度招聘指南，常年接受申请。
2. 申请人员可浏览本实验室的网页(http://mel.xmu.edu.cn)，寻求我实验室相关研究方向的科研人员作为合作者，下载并填写本基金申请表格。
3. 申请材料：个人简历（含教育背景和工作经历）；简要描述在我实验室的工作计划、拟完成目标等、如申请高级访问学者或青年访问学者基金，还需制定详细经费预算。
4. 实验室基金评审委员会每年1月、5月、10月初对申请材料进行评审，讨论是否资助以及资助额度，并及时将评审结果通知申请者。
5. 基金使用年限为1年，若已超过计划任务所确定的截止时间仍未来厦开展工作，实验室将不预留此项经费。
四、 研究成果
访问学者来室工作时需做学术报告，结束离室前提交研究工作总结或进展报告。
访问学者在本基金资助下所完成的论文、专著和研究报告等的完成单位应署名：中文“近海海洋环境科学国家重点实验室（厦门大学）”，英文“State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science (Xiamen University)”，并注明：中文“由‘近海海洋环境科学国家重点实验室（厦门大学）访问学者基金’资助”，英文“Supported by MEL Visiting Fellowship Program”。

The State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science (MEL) at Xiamen University invites applications for Visiting Fellowships in the general area of marine environmental science with emphasis on marine biogeochemistry, marine isotope geochemistry, marine microbial ecology, marine ecology, marine physiology, marine photobiology, marine analytical chemistry, marine environmental toxicology, coastal wetland ecology, physical oceanography, marine remote sensing and other disciplines related to the scientific issues with which MEL is concerned.
Three types of Visiting Fellowships are provided as the following:
1. MEL Distinguished Visiting Fellowship. This Fellowship is supported with a monthly allowance of 25,000 Yuan RMB for one to three months in a one-year period, with access to renting a university apartment/hotel, and a round-trip international travel expense (economy class). Laboratories, office facilities, communication networks and other communal research facilities will be provided.
2. MEL Seinor Visiting Fellowship. This Fellowship is supported by MEL with a monthly allowance of 10,000 Yuan RMB for one to three months in a one-year period, with access to renting a university apartment/hotel, and a round-trip international travel expense (economy class).Laboratories, office facilities, communication networks and other communal research facilities will be provided.
3. MEL Young Scientist Visiting Fellowship. This Fellowship is supported by MEL with a monthly allowance of 5,000 Yuan RMB for one to six months in a one-year period, with access to renting a university apartment/hotel, and a round-trip travel expense (economy class). Laboratories, office facilities, communication networks and other communal research facilities will be provided.Successful candidates are encouraged to apply for additional research fund from MEL.
Applications are accepted all year round. Applicants should submit an application form and a CV to MEL office by email with the subject of “Visiting Fellowship application”.Prior to submitting an application, we encourage you to contact one or more of our scientific staff members in your area of research. This, of course, is not a condition of application, but it does assist us in the award selection. Information about the research interests of the MEL scientific staff is available on our home page under the subtitle “Faculty and Staff”.
Reviews will be organized every January, May and October. The principal selection criteria for Visiting Fellowships are scientific excellence and a clearly expressed plan to investigate problems at the forefront of marine environmental science.
A research plan at the beginning, and a report of conclusions at the end, of the appointment are required. Papers, monographs and research reports are required to acknowledge the support of theVisiting Fellowship Programof the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science (Xiamen University).
