Bio:

Dr. Zuojun Yu is a physical oceanographer and freelance English editor. She has a B.S. in marine meteorology from Shandong College of Oceanography (now Ocean University of China), an M.S. in tropical meteorology from Sun Yat-sen University, and a Ph.D. in physical oceanography from Nova University (now Nova Southeastern University). She did translation checking (English to Chinese) for Scientific American article Walls of water

Abstract:

Chatbots, such as ChatGPT, can generate new content, including images and text. We can use chatbots to help us with many tasks, including writing a research paper. In this lecture, I will cover the following:

1. Use GenAI as a Tool, Not a Crutch;

2.Tell Your Own Story;

3. Develop a Strong Voice;

4. Master Revising.
