How to get to your hotel from the airport?

  1. By taxi: There is a taxi queue outside the Arrival Hall.  The fare is RMB¥ 50-60 from Xiamen International Airport to Lujiang Hotel/Millennium Hotel/Xiamen University. This is the most recommended and convenient way.
  2. By airport shuttle bus: To find the Airport Shuttle Bus, exit the Arrival Hall, go right and proceed straight for 50-100 meters. The fare is 6RMB per person. Get off at the Xiamen Train Station bus stop, then by taxi (15-25 RMB) or bus (1 or 2 RMB) to hotels. The Shuttle bus service runs from 7:00 to 21:00 daily.
  3. By public bus: After exiting the Arrival Hall, turn left and proceed straight for 200-250m to the Bus Station. Take the bus No. 27 to the Ferry Station which is very close to Lujiang Hotel (The fare is 1 or 2 RMB), then take a bus (1 or 2 RMB) or taxi to Millennium Hotel (8 RMB) or Xiamen University (13 RMB) if you are not staying at Lujiang.

For participants staying in Keli and Yifu Building in Xiamen University:

  1. Yifu Building: Get off at the University Danan Gate (close to Nanputuo Temple). Go 30 meters strait forward and find Yifu Building on your right-hand. A volunteer will be at the lobby to offer help.
  2. Keli Building: Get off at the University Danan Gate (close to Nanputuo Temple). Go 10 meters strait forward and find Jianwen Building on the left. Check in at Jianwen Building Reception and then go to your room in Keli Building. A volunteer will be at the lobby to offer help.

How to get to the Ocean Building?

Registration:
Registration desks are on the first floor of Ocean-B Building, open at 14:00 and close at 21:00. You will receive your name badge and handbook. Please wear your badge at all times.
We accept onsite payment (by credit card or RMB cash) for participants who have not paid yet. All paid participants will receive their payment receipts issued by Xiamen University.
PowerPoint files uploading:
Participants who are giving oral presentations are supposed to upload your PowerPoint file to the symposium computer by the time of registration. Note that we handle with Microsoft Office.
Information and poster help desk:
The information desk and poster help desk is located on the first floor of Ocean-B Building and opens during 8:30-18:00 daily from May 19 to 21, and 8:30-13:00 on May 22. A message board will be on during the symposium.
Poster display:
For participants who are giving poster presentations, please find your poster number and displaying guide at the poster help desk. You will be able to put your poster up for display during the whole duration of the conference.
Poster boards are 90 cm (width) and 110 cm (length), and posters should fit to these sizes.
Adhesive tapes and scissors are available at the poster help desk. If you have special needs for your poster presentation, please bring those supplies with you to the symposium.
Student award:
In order to encourage excellence, 10th IEBS is offering prizes for the top student poster and presentation. Only participants registered as students can participate in the competition. But students are not automatically entered into the competition. If you wish to be part of it, write an email to the secretariat or mention this to the registration desk.
The competition chairs will convene a panel of judges to identify the top poster/presentation based on research quality and presentation. Prizes will be awarded at the banquet on May 21st.
Icebreaker:
The Ice breaker will take place from 18:00 to 21:00 at the Ocean Building,
Internet:
Ocean Building: The Ocean-B Building is equipped with wireless internet access from the 2nd to the 6th floor. Tables and chairs are available at the corner of every floor. No password is needed for the internet access.
Hotels: Internet is available and free for all hotels reserved. Please ask the hotel reception desk for more information.
