My research tools include data synthesis, eco-physiological models and ecosystem models. I am interested in using these tools to study marine microbial ecology and biogeochemistry, in particular under climate change. My research focuses on nitrogen fixation, heterotrophic bacteria-dissolved organic matter (DOM) dynamics, viral ecology, and the related carbon and nitrogen cycles.
